We actively strive to introduce, educate, and empower children (and adults) to explore the outdoors by partnering with their families to boost engagement and cultivate new desires for adventures outside.
The world is full of individuals who want to try outdoor activities but aren’t sure where and how to start. Introducing someone at an early age allows them the confidence to continue those activities into adulthood. Plus, it’s always more likely for an adult to take part in something new when their child has developed a passion for it.
Through various program initiatives involving both children and their parents, connect them not only to nature but each other and to build lasting memories and life-long skills. Programs include connecting with Chattanooga schools to offer various after school and holiday event initiatives. Other opportunities offered solely to parent/child combos as well as full family ventures to continue to nurture the bond through outdoor activity.
Connecting with Chattanooga schools and offering 6 week long after school programs for eligible students. Each session involves hands-on activities to foster curiosity and further educate participants on safe and fun activities as well as boost confidence in their own abilities and skills.
Following program completion, participant families are able to express their support by committing to go on an optional overnight trip where kids have the opportunity to use the skills they’ve learned and educate their parents/siblings at the same time. Easiest way to learn is to teach someone else.
