Afterschool

What is it?

A ten week long after school program for kids focused on introducing them to outdoor activities. Chattanooga has endless opportunities for outdoor exploration and we want to encourage those desires in a safe and healthy way. 

Each one hour session will be held on school property with Bethany Keenan. Supplies for the program are included in the cost and maintained by KeenAdventures. 

Curriculum is experiential and adaptive to ensure a high level of learning for each participant. With hands-on activities both individually and in groups, participants will inquire ample opportunity to practice what they learn until they feel comfortable and confident in their new abilities and skills. 

Who should sign up?

Any child who has an interest in the outdoors is more than welcome to join. Along with any child who isn't sure but loves learning new things. 

The skills acquired during this program will be for practical and safe use in a variety of outdoor activities. The kids will have the opportunity to practice their skills each week and ask a multitude of questions to ensure they understand.

Age group various from school to school depending on the need and availability. Contact Bethany for further details on your schools specifics. 

Cost: 

$125 per child

• 10 - one hour sessions with instructor

When: 

Each school start date is slightly different. Please check the Schedule to ensure you have the correct information or reach out to Bethany or your child's school directly.

Where: 

On participating school campus' rain or shine. If necessary, activities will be done indoors with school space availability. However with sever weather/conditions parents will be informed prior to school ending or any cancelations.

What better way to finish out a program or set of lessons than putting to use the new skills and knowledge we acquired? Consider signing up to go on one of our FamVentures and be prepared to have a ton of fun! As the students become the teachers, parents and siblings alike will be amazed witnessing the ease and excitement that come with outdoor activities. All program graduates will get the chance to practice what they've learned in a real-life scenario while simultaneously teaching their family what they've learned and embedding the skills even deeper.
